Allied Universal in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Area Observation to safeguard clients in technology, media, and telecom locations. The role offers weekend shifts with a consistent afternoon/evening schedule.

You will perform patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to concerns, and deliver professional customer service while adhering to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required; valid driver's license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization per site procedures, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly while following site protocols and documenting observations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with site contacts and first responders.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM


• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions or access issues to the appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting observations as required.


• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site contacts and first responders, and support a professional environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
