Job summary

Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a luxury hotel and resort location. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, respond to alarms, and assist guests and staff with a welcoming, service-oriented presence.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred and required licensing where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Guard card/license preferred; CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking, and public spaces to deter incidents.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly, escalating as needed per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with entry procedures for guests, staff, vendors, and deliveries.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to site leadership and management.

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a luxury hotel and resort location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and support authorized entry procedures for guests, employees, vendors, and deliveries while maintaining a welcoming hospitality-focused presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
