Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Columbus, OH. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service while deterring security incidents.

• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents and policy violations.
• Assist with traffic and crowd management while maintaining a professional presence.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.08 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity in assigned areas, documenting incidents, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with traffic, pedestrian, and customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence in a government transportation location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
