As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Risk Awareness in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to campus needs, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care for people.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
