Allied Universal in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to safeguard tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial property. You will perform routine patrols, monitor entrances, and provide courteous service while adhering to site policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established emergency response protocols.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership according to site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
