Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Fairfax, VA. You will perform routine patrols, provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, and maintain a secure, welcoming environment in healthcare facilities.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Pay is $20.00 per hour with daytime shifts and opportunities for growth through our Shift platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with access control or crowd management as directed.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
