Allied Universal in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a part-time Unarmed Hospital Patrol Security Officer to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and support access control in a healthcare setting.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and/or policy violations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency personnel.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
