Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer at our Hanahan, SC location. You will provide customer service, monitor access, perform patrols, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

The role emphasizes reliability, integrity, and visibility to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts in accordance with site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
