Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Customer Access) in Greer, SC. You will support patient and visitor safety in a healthcare setting, providing friendly service while patrolling and monitoring access points.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $18.15 per hour. Schedule: DayTime Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM. This role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and teamwork across healthcare locations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, assisting with directions and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.
