Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Scranton, PA to monitor and protect healthcare facilities. You will deliver courteous service, perform routine patrols, manage access, and respond to incidents following established procedures.

Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Eligible for 3pm–11pm shifts with growth opportunities within a people-first culture.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare-related areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to routine concerns, document observations, and collaborate with team members while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and support a professional environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
