Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Troy, MI. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial facilities, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor access, and provide outstanding customer service. Join a team grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $19.08 / Hour. Schedule includes Day and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts; you can build a flexible routine using our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures and responding to incidents.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities for leadership.
• Complete detailed patrol reports and communicate observations to supervision.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, including building interiors, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access concerns or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate patrol records, and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
