Job summary

Allied Universal in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol residential areas, monitor access, and provide professional customer service. The role offers flexible weekend shifts and opportunities to grow within a leading security organization.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will build a schedule that works for you, use access control and badge systems, and contribute to residents' safety while upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential areas and parking.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting observations and notifying personnel.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate information to site management.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support residents and guests with professional customer service. Using clear communication and technology, you will document activities and respond to concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with community procedures, documenting relevant observations and notifying appropriate personnel of concerns.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate pertinent information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
