Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in West Chester, OH to provide security and customer service at a logistics/distribution site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents, maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Background histories considered in a manner consistent with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility to deter incidents.
• Monitor access by observing entry/exit activity and verifying authorization.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and report as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate shift reports and patrol documentation.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
