• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and notify site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, exits, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and monitor activity to support a secure, welcoming environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to document access‑related information. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Control access for delivery drivers and vendors in accordance with established site procedures, directing them to designated check‑in and staging areas as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gates, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
