Allied Universal in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Site Access to safeguard our clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor entry points, and maintain accurate access records while delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background check, drug screening, and valid driver's license for driving

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Wed12:00 AM – 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.

• Control access to operational areas, trailer yards, loading docks, and restricted spaces in accordance with site procedures.

• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
