Allied Universal® in Delray Beach, FL is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Portal to protect residents and facilities across healthcare-related communities. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour. Schedule: Day and Weekend shifts. This role requires at least two years in security, a guard card, and a background check; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Guard card is required.
• Background check and drug screen may apply.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures within a healthcare-related residential community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of community buildings, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity; document observations and report unusual activity.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation with professional communication.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare-related residential community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of community buildings, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; document observations and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly with site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
