Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Enhanced) in West Palm Beach, FL. You will provide site-specific security, screen visitors, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence at the assigned site.

The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, supporting earnings growth and varied site exposure.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security experience.
• Guard card is required.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity as required.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

As a Security Officer Part Time Service Gate in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
