Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Screening Documentation Clerk in Leesburg, VA to serve and safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to earn by using our Shift-claiming platform.

As a Screener, you will screen access, monitor entry points, and report security concerns while delivering excellent customer service. Minimum one year security experience, college degree, and ability to type 40 WPM are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• College degree.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen and verify access credentials, visitor authorizations, deliveries, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements; direct individuals to appropriate check-in and access-control processes.
• Monitor entry points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, prohibited items, and other policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and security-related incidents.
