Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Screening Officer in Deptford, NJ. You will monitor entrances, screen guests and belongings, and provide high-quality guest service at an entertainment venue.

The role offers evening shifts on Tue, Thu, Sat, and Sun, with opportunities to learn and grow within a leading security services company. A background check and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an entertainment venue.
• Screen guests, bags, and permitted items in accordance with site policies; communicate entry requirements professionally and escalate prohibited-item concerns as directed.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site management and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor entrance areas and access points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and maintain awareness of activity around the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including public spaces and the perimeter, as required by the post.

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:00 PM - 02:30 AM
• Thur 07:00 PM - 02:30 AM
• Sat 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 03:00 AM
