Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Roving Patrol Driver) in Sacramento, CA. You will drive between locations, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Schedule includes evening and early morning shifts. A valid driver’s license is required; minimum age is 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store staff by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout retail areas and adjacent spaces to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to leadership or client representatives.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed: 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
