Allied Universal in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Retail) to provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a safe environment at a commercial real estate location. The role emphasizes a visible security presence and adherence to site policies.

Shifts are part-time and include morning hours; pay is $18.06 per hour. Candidates should have a valid driver's license, be 18+ with high school diploma, and possess or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
