Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to protect our technology-focused site and support a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

You will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. This role offers flexible evening/weekend hours and opportunities to grow within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• Requires good customer service skills and clear communication.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized deliveries in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing guests and maintaining accurate access-related records.
• Support a professional environment by helping to deter unauthorized activity and following established reporting, documentation, and escalation protocols.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
