Allied Universal in Hickory, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Reception Services. You will greet visitors, monitor access, and support security communications at a manufacturing and industrial site.

This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay at 18.93 per hour, and a pathway to additional shifts through our Claim a Shift platform. Prior customer service and access-control experience are valued, with training provided.

Formación

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal will subject applicants to background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific, security-related procedures and reception protocols.
• Monitor and control access at the front desk by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Receive, screen, and direct visitors, deliveries, and incoming communications in accordance with location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain awareness of front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
