Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor records, support access-control procedures.
• Monitor entrances, lobby activity, and security systems; report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established procedures with campus personnel and responders.
• Assist with receiving calls, answering routine questions, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor records, and support access-control procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor entrances, lobby activity, and security-related systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Assist with receiving calls, answering routine questions, issuing visitor credentials, and providing directions while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
