Job summary

Allied Universal, Nazareth, PA, is seeking a part-time Security Officer to manage front desk security, monitor alarms, and greet visitors at a logistics and distribution site. You will verify badges, control access, and respond calmly to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

Position is part-time with a flexible daytime schedule, and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies.
• Monitor access to the distribution location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, issue badges as directed, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Answer and route incoming calls, greet visitors professionally, and communicate site information to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain front desk logs, document security-related observations, and report unusual activity or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies.
• Monitor access to the distribution location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, issue badges as directed, and maintain accurate entry records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
