Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Property Patrol in Lansing, MI. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites, maintaining a visible security presence, delivering excellent customer service, and following established procedures to deter incidents and ensure safety.

The role offers flexible scheduling with daytime and weekend shifts. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour, and responsibilities include incident reporting, routine patrols, and professional response

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other site documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
