Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer – Patrol Support Driver in Benton Harbor, MI. You will perform unarmed patrols at a manufacturing and industrial site, manage access control, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety and integrity values.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, and the ability to work a night schedule (Wed and Thu 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). CPR/First Aid and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Alarm panels experience preferred.
• Access control and badge systems experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site procedures and access-control processes.
• Conduct routine patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and facility perimeter to report hazards and policy concerns.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain logs; report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with site contacts or emergency services.
• Document patrols, incidents, and shift activity in clear reports per policy.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a secure environment. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control processes, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activity in clear, accurate reports while following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
