Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Wayne, NJ. You will provide customer service, monitor premises, conduct routine patrols, control access, and document incidents in clear reports.

Minimum requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and comfortable using a computer or tablet. Flexible schedule with a shift pattern Fri/Sat/Sun 06:00–14:00.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, shipping/receiving areas, parking areas and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; maintain records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and notify site contacts and responders as directed.
• Document observations and policy violations in clear, timely reports and communicate with leadership.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
