Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Central Valley, NY. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service at the site, perform regular foot patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents calmly, and document observations for site leadership. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma and a background check.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized entry and theft-related activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Central Valley, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, fitting rooms, stock areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
