Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time role. Responsibilities include patrolling the premises, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering excellent customer service to tenants, visitors and staff.

Position offers shift-based hours with pay rate of $22.36 per hour. Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law and licensing rules.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:
