Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Atlanta, GA to protect tenants and properties across commercial real estate and other sectors. You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screen. The schedule is daytime/evening shifts with opportunities to earn more through the Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe and report unusual conditions, and document incidents and security activities.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe and report unusual conditions, and document incidents, patrol findings, and security-related activities according to site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming commercial real estate environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
