Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Abilene, TX. The role offers reliable base hours with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays, with a six-month anchor shift commitment and the potential to scale toward a fuller schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors and retail personnel while enforcing site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and notify appropriate personnel or responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols through retail areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior and maintenance concerns.
• Assist with directions, lost property inquiries and other customer service needs with proper documentation.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Abilene, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Assist with directions, lost property inquiries, and other customer service needs while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
