Job summary

Allied Universal in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Patrol Communications. You will provide tenant, visitor, and staff security while maintaining a visible presence and responding to incidents with professionalism and integrity.

The role offers flexible part-time hours with a schedule from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on weekdays. Prior security experience and comfort with computers are preferred; must be 18+ with high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
