Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to support operations at a Shelbyville, IN site. This role offers flexibility with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform.

The position provides a base pay of $14.00 per hour, with part-time hours and potential to scale up to 40 hours per week, depending on site needs and availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal history considered in line with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies, including emergency response as needed.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly following site protocols.

• Complete daily activity reports and communicate observations to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Shelbyville, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor activity, and reporting unauthorized entry or unusual conditions.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security‑related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
