Job summary

Allied Universal in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Reporting. You will patrol hospital sites, provide excellent customer service, and help deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence for patients, visitors, and staff.

Position offers day and night shifts, flexibility, and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company. Background checks and drug screening apply as per policy.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and notify hospital personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures and report unusual conditions.
• Document observations and patrol activity accurately in accordance with reporting requirements.

As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, patient-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and reporting unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
