Pay rate is $20.46 per hour. Eligible candidates can build toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week and may scale shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and assist guests.
• Prepare accurate reports related to incidents, observations, patrols, and other security activities.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Georgetown, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:00 PM - 09:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and provide directions or assistance to guests.
• Prepare accurate reports related to incidents, observations, patrols, and other security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
