Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals, personal property, and items entering designated areas per site procedures and regulations.
• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and individuals in custody with clear, professional communication.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections, reporting prohibited items through established channels.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following emergency procedures.
• Maintain logs and incident documentation and communicate observations to site personnel and leadership.

As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support a corrections environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and belongings, and reporting security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional, visible presence, help to deter prohibited items and incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service. $19.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Fri 06:15 AM - 06:15 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Screen individuals, personal property, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable regulations.
• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and individuals in custody by communicating procedures clearly and professionally.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited or unauthorized items through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
