Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Allentown, PA to support emergency preparedness operations and protect clients across various industries. You will maintain a visible security presence, assist with incidents, and provide professional customer service during shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to security-related needs with integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology and telecommunications location, including business areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
