Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Customer Assistance) in Garner, NC. The role involves guarding client sites, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting access control for a technology-focused location.

Pay rate is $18.36 per hour with a part-time schedule. Shifts include overnight Wednesday through Friday. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and prepare detailed security reports for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and credentialing processes to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular/patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain logs, and communicate security information to site leadership.

DayTime Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or credentialing processes in accordance with site-specific requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
