Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer to perform security rounds in Whitsett, NC. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct patrols of offices and grounds, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This role offers flexible scheduling, a welcoming team environment, and opportunities to learn our security procedures using our technology tools. A high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or facility issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations accurately, and communicate relevant details to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, assisting with access-related inquiries, and maintaining awareness of technology equipment, restricted areas, and sensitive business operations.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
