Job summary

Allied Universal in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for the Clinical Foot Patrol in a healthcare setting. You will provide visible security, assist patients and staff, and respond professionally to incidents.

The role offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform, with the Tue and Wed 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM shifts. A hospital environment requires good communication and calm problem solving.

Position Details

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned hospital areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help support orderly movement throughout the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
