Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Romeoville, IL. You will screen individuals and packages, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to maintain safe site operations.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform, helping you increase earnings while developing experience at multiple sites. Pay rate is $19.04 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while screening procedures, site policies, and emergencies as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and property; inspect for prohibited items and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor/delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; communicate observations and request assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols; report hazards and unusual activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Document Screening in Romeoville, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal property entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures; inspect for prohibited items and report concerns to site leadership.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, driver, and delivery activity in accordance with location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations and request assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated warehouse, loading, and perimeter areas; report hazards, damaged access points, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or e‑quivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
