Allied Universal in Portland, OR is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver for Swing Shift. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver friendly customer service to visitors, staff, and guests at cultural institutions and other sites.

This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work a recurring evening schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, guests, staff, and volunteers at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, public areas, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
