Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time – Day/Swing Shift in Portland, OR. You will patrol and protect a food and beverage production/distribution location, providing excellent customer service and maintaining safety and security across shifts.

You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and document observations while upholding site policies. This role requires a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a production/distribution location by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and other locations to deter incidents and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization while documenting entries and observations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required reports.
• Observe production and storage areas and report hazards, policy concerns, and suspicious activity.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Tue: 04:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Wed: 04:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sat: 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Sun: 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, shipping and receiving areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document entries, exits, and security-related observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe activity around production, storage, and logistics areas while maintaining awareness of site-specific requirements and reporting hazards, damage, policy concerns, and suspicious behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
