Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Lobby Assistance to greet visitors, manage access, and maintain a secure front desk. You will support staff, patients, and guests while following site protocols in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; will be subject to drug screen.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front-desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility, maintain records, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following healthcare location protocols.
• Answer phones, provide information, and communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front-desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Answer phones, provide information, and communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
