Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced – Incident Response in Birmingham, AL. You will provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old (18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations per protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and general information while maintaining professionalism.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in site records.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Incident Response in Birmingham, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and general information while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
