Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for Identity Verification at a Rockaway, NJ location.

You will monitor entry points, verify access for residents and visitors, and respond to incidents while delivering courteous, professional service.

This role offers a part-time schedule (Sat and Sun nights 7 PM – 7 AM) at $19.00 per hour with opportunities to learn and grow within a trusted team.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, vendors, and contractors entering the residential location.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and contractor entry records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
