Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a Hospital Inmate Watch role in Atlanta, GA. You will provide courteous security services, monitor access, and patrol facilities to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service to staff and visitors.

The position operates on a daytime/evening schedule with required training, background checks, and compliance with vaccination and safety standards. A valid license and clearances may be needed depending on site rules.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
