Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time in Chantilly, VA to provide reliable security services at a designated site with flexible hours.

You will work fixed anchor shifts and may pick up additional shifts to increase earnings through our scheduling platform, potentially reaching up to 40 hours per week. Role emphasizes incident response, access control, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings and parking facilities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; direct authorized personnel and enforce site rules.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Guard Card in Chantilly, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing authorized personnel, and maintain awareness of site rules and building operations.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
