Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Louisville, KY to monitor residential properties, deter incidents, and deliver customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Security Officer, you will conduct patrols, manage access points, and maintain a professional presence while following site procedures and safety standards. CPR training preferred.

Qualifications

• Must type at least 40 words per minute.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the residential property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, documenting observations and incidents accurately.
• Help maintain a professional presence that supports a welcoming residential environment and helps to deter unauthorized activity.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
